I enjoyed your self-picks for your eleven top posts of the year. It enchants me to re-read through all of your picks all packaged together and tied up with string. You entice me throughout the year with tasty phrasing, tinting your take on a broad field of subjects. Then, here at the end of the calendar, you spread what you think are your choicest thoughts atop the sideboard and invite your readers to gather at the banquet table absorbing the aromas, textures and tastes of your journalistic smorgasbord all at once!

And what is the verdict? Those eleven brown paper packages tied up with string validate Mr. Villers’ original faith in plain little ol’ Ruth.
