I remember the humiliation of junior high soft ball -- the last time I ever played that sport. I had never, ever, not even once managed to connect bat with ball until one of my team members lit on the system of standing right behind me and shouting "SWING!" at the appropriate moment. Improbably this worked, and I made a couple of hits, until the opposing team complained that it was unfair and I was back to the usual three strikes and out. I always wondered how this could possibly count as physical exercise. I could have joined your team! I remember the humiliation of junior high soft ball — the last time I ever played that sport.
