HA! I changed to a Mac three years ago last month and you'll have too pry it from my cold, dead hands, as they say. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to a PC. And I'll up the ante for you - you can call or email me with ANY questions you have if you convert. I promise you won't be sorry.

It is amazing how technology things have a very short life span simply because improvements happen so quickly.

Still a PC user here. MAC users brag about how easy everything is. I've only been on one a few times, but easy is...hard for those used to a PC. I haven't gone over to the other side, obviously, but I like sameness - and speed, when it comes to computers. :)

The Mac pressure continues. My husband drives a Prius and has no guilt about his grant-funded computer habit.

Confirmed Mac-head here. I stuck with my PC for years, despite #1 Son's jeers but I finally couldn't take the bugginess, the viruses and, most of all, the razzmatazz I had to go through every time I made a change or tried to update a program or add a new printer.
Now, I jeer at my PC-loving husband, but he's hanging in there, doing other things while his laptop takes its sweet time to warm up, building something in the garage while it goes through its daily virus scan, without which it will sprout horns and infect the whole house with spam cooties, apparently.

Me, too! Love my MAC! I keep my MAC until I can not upgrade the operating system any more, about 4-5 years. My first MAC had 4 MB of ram. Hell, my iPOD touch has 8 times that. Times have changed... Good for you for upgrading your existing machine. I am feeling sorry for your husband, though. It's bullshit that you need to replace your computer every year or two. He is being bamboozled by the marketplace. If your husband is at all sensitive to what sort of junk he puts into the environment, you can load on some guilt about abandoning a computer every year or two. This is very wasteful...

Ruth, I can just imagine your hubby taking you by hand and leading you through a Mac Store. Sort of like dragging Alice through Wonderland.

Put me in the Mac category, please. I love my Mac. It was worth every penny. While I don't use the razzle-dazzle button much, it's comforting to know it's there if I need it.
